Totally authentic cottage type home in this Island setting. Close to both Charleston Downtown in 15 minutes and Folly Beach in 10 minutes. Easy to find just 3 blocks distance off Folly Rd on James Island. Two bedrooms, living room/ kitchen, bath, laundry and central air, Privacy in this unique small home setting. Kids welcome, although no pets please. Close to everything. If you have companions tell them to look up the adjoining unit, 1000 sq. ‘ 2 bedroom “Tree Top Terrace”, be together.
The space
This is a small house with easy access. We watch out for each other in this neighborhood so be respectful and keep the visit nice. Watch out for the skinny drive between deep ditches!
Guest access
Within 10 miles any direction there are plantations, ancient trees, harbor tours, downtown shopping, beaches, backwater, fishing, great fresh seafood, and lots of museums and history. You’ll be in the middle of a lot.

The stay was very nice! It was pretty kid friendly and even though there were people staying in the space above, we never heard them and parking was very easy. I can tell that Susan really looks after the place and is always looking for ways to make it better. Great Price for a Great Stay!
My adult son and I needed a few days to regroup after a death in our family and Susan’s place was perfect. The apartment is as described. It has eclectic, cozy decor, comfy beds, great AC, coffee, and a nicely equipped kitchen to make your stay comfortable. The location is close to Folly and Charleston. We’d love to return to this peaceful place.
Susan was a wonderful host! She spoke with us when we got there and even let us use her state park pass. Very homey place and comfortable beds. We will be back for sure! 🙂
The Lazy Susan was a nice, quiet place to stay for a weekend in Charleston. We loved being so close to both downtown and Folly Beach. The house itself was nice and clean. We had no issues with the cottage.
We stayed here with four guests. It is a small area but we were only there to eat and sleep so it worked well. Check in was super easy, it is in a convenient location to go both to downtown Charleston and to folly beach, and though there were people in the unit above us we could never hear them. The master bed is squeaky and somewhat uncomfortable.
I recommend staying at the lazy Susan.
